Food Bank Helps Keep Pets Safe and Warm

The winter weather makes difficult times seem even harder for struggling families. That's why the Food Bank of Siouxland is hoping to lend a helping hand by gathering donations that help Siouxland's four-legged family members. The food bank is holding a dog and cat food drive through the month of November.

KPTH and the Hy-Vee warehouse in Cherokee have teamed up to donate 450 pounds of dog food to help hungry pets.

The food bank is also busy trying to keep up with a busy season. Through the end of November, they had helped more people than any previous year.
