Soon there will be more then just the sounds of slot machines at Casino Omaha.
On Wednesday, casino officials announced a 30,000 square foot expansion to the casino area with 600 more slot machines to be added by July 1. They believe the added area will attract more gamblers, which will raise enough money for a water park.
Ansley Griffin, an Omaha tribal council chairman, says, "This will be a destination resort and so we're hoping to include a family-type atmosphere for the new concept that we're going to be accomplishing in the near future."
Casino Omaha has not done any renovations since it was built in 1992.
