Cool, Wet Weather Adds Insult to Injury for Siouxland Farmers

Posted:

Wet weather is making an already difficult season worse for Siouxland farmers. Fields normally noisy with combines are silent as farmers wait out the rain.

Hail hit fields near Newcastle, Nebraska in July wiping out hundreds of acres on one farm alone.

One farmer has already harvested 80 acres with yields ranging from zero to nearly 200 bushels depending on the damage.
