What started as an idea for North Middle School students has developed into an annual summit. The first annual Siouxland Youth Leadership Summit began Wednesday morning and will run though Thursday afternoon, teaching students how to become a leader. 

Thirty students from each of the Sioux City Community School District middle schools, as well as Bishop Heelan and Sergeant Bluff middle schools, will participate in team building activities being lead by the 185th Air Guard. 

The event will conclude with a motivational pep talk by local high school students on how to be better leaders within the Siouxland community
