A Jackson, Nebraska, man died after crashing on Highway 12 near Ponca this weekend. Nebraska state troopers say 26-year-old Matthew Sandness crossed the center line and collided with 59-year-old Vernon Nelson's truck, killing Nelson.

The car's driver, Matthew Sandness remains at Mercy Medical Center in serious condition. Crews treated and released three kids in Sandness' car.
