The U.S. Senate has confirmed a new chief prosecutor for the northern district of Iowa. Stephanie Rose becomes the first woman to be the head federal prosecutor in Iowa in 30 years. 

Rose was recommended by Senator Tom Harkin in March. She will serve a four year term.
