The group behind a proposed Lyon County casino is hoping to get Siouxland on board. Lyon County Resort and Casino, LLC is offering up to $42 million in partnership units to help fund their project. Representatives held a prospective investor meeting at the Sioux City Country Club Monday evening.
We spoke to them today about how Lyon County stacks up against the competition.
Dan Kehl, the CEO told us "Our site is twelve miles from downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota and we're 10 miles from I-90 so you know strategic location close to a large out-of-state population 214,000 people in the Sioux Falls metro area so we have a large population base not a lot of competition in that market space so it's the perfect spot."
